Adel holds a MSc degree in international economics from the Vienna university of economics and business administration. He has over 20 years management and consulting experience in modern agriculture, food processing industry, financial and logistics services.

Ahmed has more than nine years working experience in the field of vernacular architecture and building with earth. He is a certified earth builder from the Earth institute in Auroville, India. Ahmed manages the technical team and supervises the onsite construction.

Architect

Seleem is a multidisciplinary architect with a degree in Architecture from the CEU University in Valencia, Spain and represents Cairo as a Walkability Correspondent at Pedestrian Space. With extensive knowledge on sustainable architecture and earth construction, he leads Hand Over’s design team, as well as hosts earth building workshops.

Mo’men is a civil site engineer with over 6 year of professional experience in project management in both private and government sectors.

Technical Partner

Dr. Hisham Hafez is a post-doctorate research fellow at the University of Leeds specialized in performance-based environmental impact assessments of building materials with a focus on low-carbon concrete. Since completing his PhD from Northumbria University in the UK in 2021, Hisham has published more than 20 peer-reviewed Q1 journal articles earning more than 570 citations to date and a research index that is within the top 10% of all time in the civil engineering discipline.

Founder of UI investments; a boutique investment house based in Cairo and targeting startups in the MENA region. Tarek has more than 30 years of experience working in corporates and SMEs and recently he decided to focus his energy and time in supporting entrepreneurs and social impacters.

Dr. Mokhtar has over 36 years of experience in the Middle East Construction industry, specializing in structural design and management. He is currently the Director of Structural Engineering at Omrania, a multidisciplinary consultancy in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. In his role, he oversees departmental management, resource planning, technical project management, quality assurance, and collaboration with international consultants.
