Four-Calendar Lamp
The Four-Calendar Lamp is a celebration of light. As if a pedestal with a wooden display that holds up a spherical bulb, it is an ode to the metaphysical impact of light. The rammed earth is fitted with a tubular, curved wooden area that makes this lamp directional. While most lamps do not have an orientation, this one does. The back of the lamp is a solid sculpture of rammed earth with visible strata of different shades of earth. The front of the lamp is where the density of the rammed earth meets the transparency and welcoming of the opening.
